Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you from? Family? Pets? Hobbies? Etc.
I am a photographer local to Texas, but traveling anytime I get the chance to. I am from Texas, but have lived all over the country with my Navy husband and our two daughters. We have 2 crazy dogs (a husky and a heeler)!
Tell us about your Photography business. How did you start and why? What do you specialize in? Would you go back and do anything differently?
I specialize in wedding photography, but started with families. It all boils down to a love for taking care of people and making people happy. I love to dicument the best times in their lives and to be able to do that is such an honor.
Has it been a smooth road? Have you encountered struggles that you could share?
Ha! No way!! I look back to when I started in San Diego and say to myself “why did yo choose to do everything the hard way?” But thats sort of my personality, its just how I learn I guess. I chose to pursue this career when my husband was deploying and our kids were still small.. and I chose to do it by getting a bachelors degree in photography.. .which was so hard while taking care of everything else in my life. It was well worth it though.
What do enjoy the most about what you do? What do you enjoy the least?
I truly enjoy seeing the joy on peoples faces when they see their images that I was able to create for them.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by connection, as cheesey as that may sound, its true. Seeing how people love and connect gives me hope and such joy to witness.
What is your farewell piece of advice for someone interested in taking the first steps toward entering into your field?
Just keep making work, even when you want to quit. You get better and it becomes easier with experience and time… so dont rush it, just keep going.

What is your favorite Childhood Memory?
Climbing and hiking the trails and jumping on rocks to cross the creeks with my dad and brother and sister.
