Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you from? Family? Pets? Hobbies? Etc.
I moved to San Diego in 2014 from Washington State with my Husband Chaz (HS Sweetheart) and our two mini doxies. I love sweet tea, succulents & making people smile. top-off Jeep road trips along the beach are my favorite, but of course I could go for a trip out to the desert any day.
Tell us about your business. How did you start your business and why? What do you do? Would you go back and do anything differently?
After 8 years working as a marketing director in various industries, I finally made the leap of faith into entrepreneurship. I have always treated every job I’d ever had as if I owned the place and running the show came very natural to me. I never thought a marketing agency was in my cards, but God’s plan is always better. I actually had plans to expand my clothing business and run that full time, until I work up one morning in 2017 feeling compellingly called to open Auctus Social. I quit my job the next day and now I get to spend time helping entrepreneurs use social media to build their influence, make and impact, and create income simply through authentic connection with real people.
Has it been a smooth road? Have you encountered struggles that you could share?
It’s been really simple in a lot of ways. I’ve definitely got the heart of an entrepreneur. I’d consider myself a left-brain creative. I am in awe of what was waiting for me when I took the leap, but I have had a few moments of invaluable growth as well. Working alone has probably been my biggest challenge, as I really miss being a leader or part of a team.
What do enjoy the most about what you do? What do you enjoy the least?
I enjoy watching my clients win. watching them take action immediately after a lesson and seeing it WORK for them. Selfishly I also love the time freedom I have. The money is great, but time freedom is where it’s at.
What inspires you?
My Clients inspire me. Most of them are upper level Directors in a direct selling style of business. They have worked their butts off to get where they are, and they’re not even close to finished. They inspire me to stay dedicated and stay the course.
What is your farewell piece of advice for someone interested in taking the first steps toward entering into your field?
First of all, Fear is a Liar. You’ll never know until you just do it. What do you have to lose? For me the benefits totally outweighed the consequences, and I struggled with the decision for 2 years. My best advice is to build a strong network of colleagues, friends and family that support you and run with it. Know your stuff, and have faith.

What is your favorite Childhood Memory?
Summers spent with the Buchanan’s in Seattle.
You are a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be?
It’d be a water color teal that is both calming and bright.
